The Tour of Britain is coming to Ribble Valley and Pendle in Lancashire. Stage Two will begin in Clitheroe town centre, completing a clockwise route via Nick O’Pendle, Longride, Dunsop Bridge and Slaidburn in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. After Gisburn the route heads into Pendle via Barnoldswick and Earby before briefly returning to Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley and then on to Whalley, Nelson and the finish in Colne.
Further details of the route, including Ordnance Survey stage maps, will be announced in the Summer, along with details of the 20 competing teams. The 2015 Friends Life Tour of Britain will take the world's top riders and teams from the island of Anglesey, North Wales to London across eight stages from Sunday 6 to Sunday 13 September. Visiting England, Scotland and Wales, the 2015 Friends Life Tour of Britain will cover 1,451-kilometres across eight days of racing, including three stages over 200-kilometres and a summit finish in the northern Pennines at Hartside Fell, Cumbria.
